Working in partnership with parents

One of our primary aims is to work with parents/guardians and to develop a positive relationship with the entire family.

We do this through the keyworker system. Keyworkers are qualified members of staff whom take the lead within the nursery to ensure that your child is achieving to their full potential. All children have a keyworker.

Every keyworker has at least one support assistant that will liaise closely with the keyworker to ensure we are providing the most appropriate care and support for your child’s current needs.

Your keyworker and their support assistant will make regular written and photographic observations of your child and monitor their development in accordance to the EYFS. All observations will be stored in your child’s personal folder, which you have access to at all times.

Working with you as parents/carers is a continuous process and we will regularly make time through home visits, consultation sessions and at the beginning and end of the session to talk in person, allowing you to be actively involved in your child’s care and development during their time at Pamphill Pre-School.

When you join the nursery, we ask you to complete a booklet entitled ‘A Book All About Me’. This allows your keyworker to gain valuable information which will help us, to help your child settle into the nursery.
